Went to nursing school right out of high school. Passed RN boards on first attempt. Went to work in my hometown hospital in Emergency Department for 6 years while attending St. Joseph's College part-time. Two years later, earned Bachelor's degree in Health Administration. Had opportunity to attend Anesthesia school; completed couses, took boards, successfully completed first attempt. Practiced Anesthesia for roughly 20 years. Enjoyed medical education and practice! Finally returned to nursing practice also enjoying Geriatrics. Time to retire. Now would like to continue elder care in some capacity part-time.
