Where severe physical/ mental disability or old age stands in the way, I believe it is important to maintain positivity and continue to look for ways to support the individual toward the highest level of comfortable daily life as possible. As the caretaker for your loved one, you can trust that I will care for them with compassion, dependability, and perseverance. I have worked as a personal support worker for 4 years. I have experience working for adults with mental disability and seniors to provide the following supports: - supporting individuals according to their specific needs, behavioural protocals, agency specific protocols, and legal standards of care. -implementing and helping to create crisis prevention and intervention plans. -helping individuals to take initiative in reaching their own goals. -advocating for individuals living with disability. -assessing individual needs and matching those needs with appropriate and accessible services. -providing general hygiene care and supporting individuals through daily routine activities.
