My name is Kaylee and I am a second year nursing student in the NESA Bachelor of Nursing program at Lethbridge College in collaboration with the University of Lethbridge. I will graduate in April, 2017. I have worked in a hospital setting since September, 2013 and have completed 529 clinical hours since then. I have excellent communication skills and complete tasks in a timely manner. I learn quickly and have a passion for working in the health care system. I find working with the adult and geriatric population very rewarding. I am certified in Health Care Provider CPR as of August, 2014 and have a valid criminal record check done in September, 2013. This position would allow me to continue growing my healthcare career path and gain experience in order to become a Registered Nurse in 2017. I have cared for many adults on a medicine floor, and surgical floor at the Chinook Regional Hospital, as well as adults on a Post Acute Rehabilitation Program at St. Michael's Hospital. I have cared for the geriatric population in the clinical setting and duties included, medication administration, insulin injections, assessments, assisting with activities of daily living, transfers, and hygiene care (toileting, bathing, mouth care). I am currently doing my clinical rotation on a maternal/child floor and am caring for mothers who have just had a baby. Duties include: assessments, assistance with hygiene, social support, and medication administration.
