With over 4 years of experience providing personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, I can say I am a caring, dedicated and hardworking individual. In my past position as a disability support worker/care giver, I was responsible for the everyday needs of adults with disabilities, encouraged and inspired clients to be positive about themselves, accompanied clients to recreation facilities. My duties included assisting the patients in their daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and taking them to and from toilet and residence to recreational facilities . I have a Bachelor of Education degree which makes me competent in supporting and training people with disability. I have also obtain training in Standard First Aids with CPR /AED level C. In my past position as a disability support worker/care giver, I assisted in designing programs for persons with disabilities, ensured their access to all center facilities, monitored and evaluated their activities and prepared quarterly reports and case notes. I am capable of working with clients from diverse socio-cultural and religious backgrounds. I am an organized person and can work under pressure with good multi-tasking skills.
