Elder Care in High Point, North Carolina

I have been caring for the elderly for about 5 years. I assisted my cousin in her CNA career for two years. We traveled to 3 homes every week giving the elderly baths, cooking them meals, cleaning their rooms, and provided any other service they needed. For the past 3 years I have been caring for my grandma. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and has been unable to get out of bed for the past year. Every morning and night when I checked on her, I changed the sheets, gave her a sponge bath, picked up the trash, fed her, and gave her medicine. I am not only experienced in the physical care of elderly, I also focus on their emotional and mental care. My grandma does not remember who I am even though I see her every day. There are many days when I would take an extra hour or two to go through family pictures and telling stories about adventures we had to help assist her memory. I believe that if the mind and soul are not cared for, no amount of help can heal ones physical body. I enjoy caring for and spending time with those in need. Elderly care is not a job, it is my passion.
