Elder Care Job in Port Orange, Florida

I am looking for a respite type companion for dad-someone who understands Alzheimer's (stage 4/5) and would take him out to say the movies, ice cream and other fun things he would enjoy. He LOVES to golf as well. I will negotiate pay and it will be hourly a few times per week. Dad is included in all of our family activities but I would like for him to feel he has a friend outside of the family and has regular activities to do outside of the house when I am busy. He is easy to get along with and would be very friendly and accepting of a new friend. Teenagers are welcome but I would like someone who is familiar with dementia, the elderly and Alzheimer's or willing to learn and understand what the disease does to the mind(repetitive behavior, confusion, repeating things etc). Dad is not hard to get along with at all and would not be difficult as some dementia patients can be. If you know of anyone who would be interested send me an inbox or txt me at 386-3.... Thank you!! Ps. I am very protective of dad and will be selective on who I choose to be his companion so if your offended by a lot of questions it probably wouldn't be a good fit.
