Elder Care in Austin, Texas

I am retired and have a totally open schedule, although I do prefer working afternoons and evenings....I believe in the Bible and where it says to take care of widows in their old age. I am a strong believer in you reap what you sow. If you have a Mom or Dad who is alone and needs companionship, as in a friend, then I am believing that God will open that door to connect me with the right need. I have a Mama age 87 and a Daddy who is 91...they live far away, and I can't help them as I would like to. So I am wanting to help someone else who needs me. I have 4 grown children who are successful with degrees and Master's degrees. I have 2 grandchildren ages 11 and 12. I took the CNA course years ago and worked in a nursing home for a time. I am healthy and exercise daily so I am able to do this service for your loved one. I cannot lift a body however, so that limits me somewhat, but my calling here is to brighten someone's day or life with my friendship. Of course being younger than them, I can do things like read to them, go on walks with them, fix and eat meals with them, or just sit and talk to them about their lives. My mother said years ago that she was lonely and cried a lot....she was living alone and was in her late 70's and early 80's then, now she is in an assisted living home and has a lot of things going on and people to talk to. I think when people get past 80 years old they desperately need companionship above all else...someone taking care of their needs that they forget about because of their old age. I am positive and friendly, and I can provide the most important thing in life for older people...and that is someone to have communication with. Remember, I am a Christian, and an intercessor so I can get insight from Father God as to how to take part in my new friends needs. The door that will open for me will be a divine appointment.
