I work as a Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse at Amai Pakpak Medical Center located at Philippines. for 2 years. We are specialized in looking after patients with serious illness or injuries. An ICU hosts terminally ill or critically injured patients. Which is why it is important for ICU nurse to be able to provide acute care to them. We are responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and documenting patients care. Nurse administer medication and record vitals and are expected to be vigilant at all times. We also expected to provide assistant to physician by helping them assess patients and deliver medication. This may include dressing wounds and monitoring life support equipment that patients use. Nurses may required to provide to provide emotional support to patient's families and educate them on procedures to an ICU. Another on of our duty is to draw blood for testing purposes and manage blood and other fluid infusions as and when necessary.
