Elder Care in Nepean, Ontario

Hi there! I am currently a Carleton U student, studying Neuroscience and Mental Health. I am a third year student who is very passionate and driven in everything that I do. I love working with people of all ages, but do my best working intimately with people. I find assisting jobs very morally rewarding. I am a friendly and outgoing person, but am also very welcoming and comforting. I have had much experience working with both children and seniors, some of whom have been identified as vulnerable individuals. I am a very non-judging person who really cares about the needs of others. I am reliable and always willing to help. Looking forward to hearing from you! For the past few years, I have worked with a relative who is severely physically impaired. I helped her with anything she needed done- ie. laundry, putting things away, cleaning her room, reading her poetry and novels, bringing in anything she needed, etc. In addition, I have both volunteered and worked at a Senior's home, volunteering with an event coordinator, and working as a server in the dining room and lounge areas for the residents. I currently volunteer with the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Institute, where I work with many adults with a variety of impairments, and help them complete activities, play games, or simply talk with them for a friendly visit.
