Hello to all, I am a hard working individual who believes in quality care. I take pride in my work and believe I can be of great help to you as well as your loved one in need of assistance. Encouragement of independency is something of great importance. Letting your loved one know I am here to simply help and not take over. Working in a Long Term Care facility I have been blessed to meet a wide variety of people. Getting to spend quality time with them listening to stories of family and past events was one of my favourite parts of my job. Going for walks and outings, as well as engaging in simple tasks such as gardening or even playing crib was also some of the things I would do on my down time. Working with those that have had a stroke, to those with minor to sever dementia as well as residents that have MS. Responsibilities would include helping with daily care routines. This would be such things as dressing, bathing, eating, also offering time for one on one companionship. (Reading, writing letters to family)
