Hello there, my name is Katherine! I am a third year nursing student at Ryerson University and I have a passion for what I do. I am looking for a summer job where I can gain experience in client care but also doing what I do best - interacting with people! I will bring my positive attitude, confidence, and experience to a senior care position with your loved one. I am CPR certified (HCP level), First Aid certified, I have a up-to-date police check and I am updated on all of my vaccinations. I have had ample experience caring for adults of various ages and abilities. I am in my third year of nursing (BScN) at Ryerson University and therefore I have completed three years of clinical placements that have exposed me to various levels of care. I have worked in two nursing homes where I have cared for individuals who are total care (they needed help with feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting) as well as provided engaging activities for individuals with various cognitive abilities. Also, I have had two hospital placements (on a Medical floor and on a Surgical-Oncology floor) where I was responsible for the total care of patients (including bathing, feeding, medications, dressings, and intravenous medications). In addition to this, for several years I have provided regular care for an adult with Down's Syndrome who needs help with feeding, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, and toileting.
