Hi, are you looking for elder care or an elder companion for your loved one? I'm a compassionate, caring person and I would love to help you out. I worked in a residential care facility as a housekeeper for three years before relocating to Alberta. I have experience with dementia/Alzheimer's and know how difficult it can be. As a housekeeper, I also became a companion/confidante for many of the residents, a privilege I did not take lightly. There were many days I put my own work aside to give a hug, have a chat or go for a walk because a resident needed my time. There were also times I just sat down and sang songs with them. Although I have no nursing experience, I know I can make a difference in someone's life by caring. I can help with personal care (washing, meds, dressing, etc) and I am more than willing to take your loved one to any appointments necessary.
