I have experience as a support worker for adults with developmental disabilities as well as for senior adults. I have been working as a home support worker at L’arche Winnipeg for over three years. My responsibilities include establishing excellent relationship with the members with a Developmental Disability, Assisting members in activities of daily living such as assisting them with dressing, bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assisting them to walk, visit friend; preparing and cooking supper, washing dishes, administering medication to members, doing laundry and garbage, reporting any change in the member’s mental or physical condition to the house leader; and maintain member confidentiality. I also have worked at Revera Home Health for over 5 years as a companion; I have worked with people have Alzheimer’s disease. My duties is to assist clients with daily care including dressing, feeding, and walking with them, reporting any change in the client's mental or physical condition to the nurse.
