Seeking professional, motivated, and committed Direct Care Staff who want to join one of the best supportive living agencies in the area! HISway LLC's Mission: To increase the independence and overall quality of life for our participants by assisting them in achieving their desired life goals; at the same time, offering the families a peace of mind that their loved ones are well cared for. POSITION SUMMARY: Provides active care, teaching opportunities, and support services to individuals with disabilities served by HISway in a residential setting. Services are provided in compliance with the Individual Support Plan and through duties assigned to assure the delivery of necessary support services. At all times complies with licensing and/or contract treatment requirements. Assistance for each individual can range from occasional verbal reminders to total assistance by the staff according to the functioning level of the participant. Available shifts: - 6:00 am to 2:00 pm - 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm - 10:00 pm to 6:00 am BENEFITS: Medical insurance offered and PTO available after 90 days continuous employment. Additional voluntary supplemental insurance available after 90 days. Holiday pay. Encouraging and supportive staff. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: - 18 years or older - Ability to pass a criminal background check with no violations involving abuse, neglect, assault, theft, or other potential client rights issues - Current Drivers License - Current car insurance and good driving record - Reliable transportation to transport participants throughout the community (mileage reimbursed) - Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid / CPR certification and obtain Certification as an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel - Ability to read and communicate effectively both orally and in writing using the English language - Ability to complete simple math computations - Ability to provide common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions - Physical flexibility and endurance, emotional calmness, and ability to follow the support plan, implement the approved intervention techniques, and to adhere to policy - Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift Note: HISway conducts pre-employment, random, and for-cause drug and alcohol testing.
