Personal Cook/Companion included the following duties: Planning, purchasing and preparation of meals for a client with dietary restrictions due to an existing health condition Accompanying client to medical appointments Providing companionship My adherence to the dietary restrictions with meal preparation helped the client to maintain optimal health. Live-in Caregiver position included the following duties: Assisted a visually impaired client with their recovery at home after major surgery Planned, purchased and prepared meals based on a strict post surgery diet Ordered and administered prescribed medications Purchased and applied hardware to clients' stoma Accompanied client to healthcare appointments Observed and reported changes in clients' condition to their healthcare practitioners Monitored daily fluid intake to prevent dehydration Maintained awareness of clients' food preferences, sensitivities and medical needs Performed light housekeeping duties Reviewed mail and sent faxes for client Strict adherence to the medical direction from the clients' healthcare team along with a sensitivity to the clients' unique needs allowed for a smooth recovery and transition back to independent living.
