Elder Care in Hamilton, Ontario

I am seeking a part time permanent and live out (4-5 days a week or even just a 3 day weekend) providing companionship and care for one or two elderly individuals in their home within the Hamilton area. I am prepared to be available for 24 hours for 5 days a week with obvious naps and sleeping when your senior does. I am a reasonable cook and baker and competently able to help with all basic self-care. I have specialized training in BoneFit and Lifts and Transfers. Safety equipment and protocols would be facilitated. I am experienced in helping with all aspects of household management but prefer to do light vacuuming and general daily housekeeping only. I hope the household is modern enough to limit the ironing (to zero). I like to read, take walks, garden and arrange flowers. I am efficient and patient, calm and fun loving. I like people and appreciate all of their ups and downs and changing health and personal care needs. I can engage in a variety of crafts and activation activities except Bridge but am willing to learn. I have not played euchre in so long I forget how. I would encourage daily excursions as tolerated respecting the benefits of social engagements in the home and community. I am a licenced driver with insurance to drive clients.
