Elder Care in Shingletown, California

I am looking for an elder care provider position in the Shingletown or Redding area. I am currently attending Shasta College. I graduated this last spring with an Associate of Arts Degree in Natural Sciences. This fall I will continue my education to apply for nursing school. My focus is on gerontology and one day I hope to be a Nurse Practitioner. I love working with elderly people. I am a firm believer that elderly people should not be left alone but rather kept busy with some form of mental and light physical activity. Whether it is doing puzzles, playing cards, arts and crafts, talking and visiting about a variety of subjects, or moving around and going for short walks, mental and physical stimulation is very important to our elders. My goal as an elder provider is to create a positive and caring environment.
