Who I Am: Hello. My name is Mary. I'm looking to provide Respite Care for those needing a short break from the daily care of loved Elderly Parents (4 hour minimum). I have 15 years of experience providing support in Activities of Daily Living for Seniors and Adults with disabilities. Description of Skills: personal care, simple bowel care, bathing, dressing, cooking, and support with intellectual disabilities. With respect to prior history, I have extensive prior history as a Caregiver. I have taken care of my own parents and family members. I have also done Palliative care for Hospice individuals. I have also worked as a Caregiver for two In Home Support Companies. At both, I became Employee of the month twice, and Employee of the Year. At one company, I was promoted to Training Supervisor of Caregivers, and Activities Director for our clients. As a Training Coordinator I taught and certified Caregivers in CPR and Crisis Communication, and in the care of our clients. At the other company, I was the Supervising Caregiver in the home of two Adults with Parkinsons Disease with Dementia. I love working with Senior Citizens.
