Elder Care Job in Toronto, Ontario

Our family is looking for a live- in elder care provider for our mother. She is very sharp and knows everything that is going on around her. She enjoys reading books, watching T.V and socializing. Her main concerns are mobility as she is getting slower with age and gets dizzy at times. The main daily tasks would include: - 3 Nutritious Meal preparations a day - Light housekeeping and cleaning up after meals - Companionship - Distributing medication as needed and daily medication reminders - Sitting outside washroom while she uses the facilities and occasional assistance with bathing - Ensuring her safety and helping her navigate the home without falling - Accompany to occasional leisurely outings We are looking for someone who has experience working in a home with elderly people and is able to independently prepare, cook and heat up meals. The ideal candidate is someone who will provide daily assistance while being an outgoing companion and allowing our mother to maintain her dignity in her home. An easy going personality is a must.
