Elder Care Job in North York, Ontario

Caregiver needed, female, Italian speaking and experienced in caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s. Our mom is 76 years old and our main focus is companionship. She is fully mobile but requires help with prepping meals, reminders to take medication and light housekeeping. She is able to do most personal care independently but requires reminders and assistance such as with dental hygiene and bathing. She stays active by keeping the home tidy (she is very neat), helping with meal prep, gardening and the occasional walk. Afternoon soap-operas keep her entertained. Her daily routine is simple. We will consider a caregiver who speaks/understands enough Italian to manage. Our mom spoke/understood English fluently but with the onset of Alzheimer’s she has reverted back to Italian. Salary is negotiable. The home is spacious and comfortable, close to transit and highway. Full-time M-F, weekends, live-out, live-in. Look forward to hearing about your experience and interest.
