Elder Care Job in Walkersville, Maryland

We are looking for a live-in person to provide care for Alice who has Alzheimer's. Coverage required would be mostly on the evenings and week-ends, so work or going to school would be possible to do. Full or Part time considered. Room and Board provided and $150 per week in exchange for 20 hours of guaranteed work per week. All work over 20 hours would be paid at $10/hr. Large furnished bedroom. Includes use of kitchen facilities, all utilities, cable TV, Internet, use of washer/dryer, pool, etc. We live in Walkersville, MD on 12 acres in the country so there is plenty of room to explore. Duties would be as those described for a Personal Care Aide. This would include generally light cleaning, cooking, running errands, and doing laundry, as well as assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. They would also engage Alice in activities like taking rides, going on walks, and other companion based activities.Alice is in good health and is a happy energetic person who enjoys getting out on rides, walking, and going for ice cream. Non-smoker. Background check and clean driving record required.
