Elder Care in Lethbridge, Alberta

Hello! My name is Madison, I am currently a student at the University of Lethbridge, I have a diploma in Recreation Therapy (geriatric based) and am working towards my degree. Therapeutic Recreation is a process that uses recreation and other activity-based interventions to address the needs of individuals with illnesses and/or disabling conditions, as a means to psychological and physical health, recovery and well-being. I discovered I have a passion for working with the elderly population after working at a Long Term Care facility in my home town. I have worked in 2 different practicum sites during my schooling and worked with Alberta Health Service last summer. I have a passion for helping and hope we can work together soon!
