Elder Care in Kittery, Maine

I am looking for an elderly care position in Kittery, Eliot, or York, Maine. I can also go into Portsmouth & Dover, NH.. I am flexible with my daytime schedule, but am not available nights and weekends as I am a single mom. I care for my own 85 yr old mother and I understand the value of loving care for our parents. I also value respectful treatment for the elderly. Sadly, my mother is moving to Florida soon, so my hours are opening up. I am not a trained nursing aide, so I am unable to do medical and personal care. I cannot lift of pull people up. But I am creative in finding ways to help them. What I can do is provide excellent companionship...I listen well and am very responsive during conversation so that people know that I truly am listening. I will do jigsaw puzzles or read aloud, show them how to work their Kindle or tablet or phone, knit with them, let them teach me how to crochet or anything that would make them happy and feel valuable. I make beds, do laundry, wash dishes, make meals (I am an excellent cook), and when my back hurts, I sit down and visit with my clients...because they have become my friends and I care about them.
