Elder Care Job in Sudbury, Ontario

Hi, thanks for checking this out. My brother and I are looking for some support with our mom, who still lives on her own in New Sudbury. Our mother is fiercely independent, and can do most things on her own. We do worry about her, and as a result we have committed to ensuring that one of us is always up there with her. My brother and I both live out of town, but each spend half our time in Sudbury. It would be great if we could find someone that lived in the area, that could do a few days a week of coming in to check in on her, take her out for a walk (if you live in the area you would have seen her at Twin Forks) and to be there for a few hours a day. She is generally self sufficient in terms of ablutions, meal preparation, and managing the stairs. That being said we would feel better with someone coming in to be with her. The difficulty is that it is not a full time position - it is part time. This could be a few days a week, or a few days every other week. Our ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in providing elder care and is capable of offering companionship and support. The responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and offering personal care services as required. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, and understanding, and who can provide the necessary support and care for our family member.
