About Us: We are a vibrant couple, aged 85 and 81, who cherish our independence and are looking for a compassionate caregiver to assist us with daily tasks. Although we are active, we have difficulty doing some tasks due to severe essential tremor in the husband’s arms and the wife’s arthritis. We seek someone who is not just a caregiver but a friendly companion to enhance our quality of life. Job Description: We are in search of a reliable and caring individual to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, errands, medication administration, and other household chores. The expected workload is approximately 4-5 hours per day, allowing you the flexibility to work with other clients if you want to. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning. • Assist with errands such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions. • Perform light cleaning and household organization. • Assist with light gardening and outdoor tasks. • Administer medications and ensure adherence to schedules. • Assist with any additional household chores as needed. Qualifications: • Experience in caregiving. • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor. • Ability to assist with physical tasks while being sensitive to our limitations (e.g., essential tremor and difficulty walking). • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. • Valid driver’s license • Non-smoker • Comfortable with dogs Compensation: • A portion of the compensation is a private, spacious (1,000 square feet) walk-out basement apartment (with all utilities included) rent-free • Total compensation of approximately $45 per hour, inclusive of rent-free basement apartment and utilities. • A supportive and respectful environment where your contributions are valued.
