Elder Care Job in Melville, Saskatchewan

Hello! My name is Gillian. I am looking for daily check-ins OR live-in support for my 86-year old dad who has been diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's. He is physically able to care for himself without anything too strenuous, but experiencing short-term memory loss and mildly poor logical thinking. He spend most of the year living with me, but would like to spend the summer in his original home located in a beautiful rural setting (large house), in the Melville/Yorkton area, 20 minutes drive east and south of Melville, 35 minutes south of Yorkton. Duties may include: • Help with light housekeeping and yard work. • Ensure he’s taken his medications, has eaten and is drinking enough water. • Companionship: do a puzzle with, work on a project, have a coffee together. • Meal prep a couple times of week, a large pot of soup that makes leftovers • Groceries: either accompany him or perform full grocery shops: check on what he has stocked, replenish as required. • Driving to Melvlle 2 times a week, allowing dad to visit with friends or run his own errands.
