Elder Care Job in New Caney, Texas

We need a person to stay with my dad during the day while we are at work. He has dementia but only to a minor degree. He is very sweet and is 89 years old. He can still climb the stairs to his room (although slowly). He loves to take walks in the neighborhood on a daily (sometimes twice) basis. This is what we need: 1. Walk with him. He does have an emergency button that he should be wearing but he has to be reminded to put it on. 2. Hours from approx. 8-4. Pay is 375.00/week. 3. He needs a little help fixing something to eat. He opens the refrigerator and has difficulty figuring out what to look for. We fix everything for the week and label it but he has a difficult time reasoning. 4. He spends a lot of time sitting out on the patio. We live in the country (kind of) and he loves the big yard and watching the birds. This is time you could spend in the breakfast area on a laptop if you need to as you can see out on the patio very clearly. If not, dad loves to play dominos. 5. He needs reminded to take his medication in the morning. (Only a blood pressure pill and his vitamins. 6. Monday through Friday only. You will not have to work any holiday that school/teachers are out. This is contract work.
