Elder Care Job in Minden, Ontario

- daily 1/2 hour to 45 minute walks on the trails near our home, maybe twice a day - companionship to give our father a break from caring for our mother - putting on music for our mother to listen or dance to (she loves Finnish polkka or most anything danceable really) - helping her to look through the many photo albums that we have - maybe some help with keeping her clothes put away and making sure she does not have her pajamas on, she can dress herself - help putting dishes away so they get into the right place if she happens to be unloading the dishwasher - generally keeping our mother busy and occupied for about 5 hours a day, from about 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (she may nap somewhere inside of that 5 hours) for as many days a week as possible, 3-5 would be great - our mother is living with an undetermined dementia (they have not been able to diagnose it but it is likely vascular) so a background with an understanding of memory illness is ideal - we can do a Zoom interview if that is helpful and works for you
