1. The resident care aide is responsible to assist residents with activities of daily living, such as (bathing, dressing, toileting, transfer, continence and feeding), communicating with family, and participating in facility or community activities. 2. The aide will also provide the following activities: a. Assist residents with bathing, hair care, mouth care and nail care; b. Assists residents with dressing including care of clothing and personal items; c. Assists and remind residents for participation in activities such as maintaining personal space neatly, contacting family members or other individuals or agencies by phone or letter, and shopping; d. Assists residents with ambulation including reminding and supporting; e. Assists and encourages residents to eat and take sufficient fluids; f. Assists residents with toileting and personal hygiene, including monitoring for incontinence; g. Observes and reports resident behavior, condition changes including weight change, and signs of injury or neglect; h. Takes and records vital signs, weight, and height as ordered; i. Documents in the resident health record as instructed; j. May assist with medication self-administration or authorized medication management with completed training; k. May transport residents away from the facility and provide supervision; l. May participate in or lead programs of activities for residents, such as games, music and entertainment; m. Performs related duties as necessary such as empty trash cans daily and also put trash out for pick-up. n. Checks on residents and documents their where about throughout the day. Requirement: 1. Resume 2. Criminal Background Check 3. Physical/Medical Certificate stating physically fit and no communicable disease. Current TB testing. 4. COMAR certificate 5. BLS and CPR 6. Medication Technician
