Job Overview: Location is Landmark mb. (not available in selection process) Spinal chord injury. T5. (Middle aged male) Looking for basic help. Mid day call. (Time and duration to be determined) Lunch, prep, eat if i desire. Can feed myself. One arm and hand affected. Require opening things or such like tasks. I am post flap surgery for a bedsore on the butt. Will do bedrest at this time for a few hours. So hoyer transfer from power chair to bed. In dwelling cath. Switch to bigger bag. Supper time call. (Time/duration tbd) Get up from bed, prep, cook, eat. Various small tasks. Bed time call. (Time/duration tbd) Peri care, change cath bag again. Hoyer to bed from chair( ceiling electric hoist.)Other various small tasks. I am new to this and Just trying to get back home. Homecare is in the works with WRHA assisting. That being said. What is being proposed to me is less than ideal. If full time employment can be worked out in a private venture. That would be great. THIS IS MY IMMEDIATE PLEA FOR SANITY ! My immediate need for help. Would be to get me out of the hospital and home. Some rough figures : From now jan 16 to jan 31 Accommodations, meals included, if anyone would like to do that, rather than travel for the couple weeks. That would be ideal for me. Short term anyway. Options are open after as well. A visit and talk in my environment. Would show the abilities i have and the level of input a caregiver would need to give. In order for me try to regain a life. I went to work one day and havent made it back home. For 4 1/2 years. Theres so much i dont know and everything is subject to change. This is a blank canvas and im doing it by myself.
