Elder Care Job in Ottawa, Ontario

I'm searching for a caregiver in Ottawa, Ontario. Must be a current resident of Canada. Must have police check and if not born and resided in Canada, must have a TB shot. Tasks include setting out clothing, doing laundry, assisting an elderly woman to get to the bathroom in a wheelchair, feeding her cat and changing its litter, making lunch and dinner. Assisting her to take spoonfuls of medicine, emptying her garbages, commode in the morning and driving her to doctor's appointments as well as picking up groceries and other supplies. Vacuuming and bed changing, etc. Service Requirements: Our family requires personal care, and support with intellectually astute, independent elderly woman. Drivers license needed. She needs 24 hr care, which can be divided amongst several caregivers. We need one person to work from the morning until an agreed to end time and then a second person to come in for the evening and overnight This lady is extremely hard of hearing and has macular degeneration so is losing her eyesight but she is very high IQ, makes all her own decisions and likes her privacy so we'll only need you when she calls you and the rest of the time prefers that you either do chores or sit and have a coffee in the dining room or preferably upstairs watching TV in your room. She is in a wheelchair due to extreme hip pain and has great difficulty standing. While she is very hard of hearing she is extremely intelligent and well educated and has worked as a professional and could still be working. She needs someone who will not move anything in her home or rearrange anything and will do as she requests without trying to attempt to have her do what they want. Because she is hard of hearing, sometimes she raises her voice but does not realize it and will need assistance in determining whether her volume is too high Other Availability:.
