My folks own a home in Palm City but are currently in an assisted living facility in Massachusetts. Dad is healthy and mobile and does not require services. Mom needs help dressing and getting to bed and also requires PT. They would like to spend 6 weeks in Florida, one last time, and are considering home care but I am suggesting that they move to an ALF and visit their house during the day returning back to the ALF at night. They have LTC insurance to becomes less of an issue if they move from one ALF to another. The apartment would have to be furnished and short-term. Is this something that your community would consider?
