Elder Care Job in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

Overview: Hello my name is Sarah. I'm looking elder care providers, men and women, living in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico or surrounding communities. I'm planning to connect with knowledgeable, excellent candidates who show a compassionate attitude, loving manners and are understanding of, and experienced with elderly dementia. A flexible work schedule is acceptable. Service Requirements: My parents are in need of personal care, baths, assistance with feeding, assistance with mobility, etc. There is need for the completion of some chores essential for their well being including bathroom cleaning, laundry, light cooking, kitchen organization and other cleaning chores as time becomes available. The candidates must be able to assess their mental and health status and communicate with their children on a continued basis. There will be plenty of support from various children in person and via telephone. Additional Work Conditions: * The candidates must work with a uniform, wear a mask and appropriate flat shoes. * No long nails are allowed. * Medium and long hair must be tied. * The candidates must have the COVID vaccinations on target. * The candidates must be able to lift 25 pound and stand for a few hours on a row. * The house is a family home. Due to safety it has gates and cameras throughout the property. * The candidates must be dedicated and alert to the needs of our parents and the home. Thus no chats or attention to any personal devices is allowed unless there is a real need. Please note that this job will pay above the minimum and the fees will be agreed upon, depending on skills and experience. Candidate's Professional Requirements: * A Certication as Practical Nurse or higher degree would be ideal. * An Elderly's Caretaker Certification would be ideal. * A CPR Certification would be a plus, but it is not mandatory to work with us. Other Requirements: * The candidates must have reliable transportation. * Two references from previous employers or educational institution. * Local record checks (Law 300, Police Certificate) * Health Certificate.
