Duties would include: *Making meals (generally breakfast and lunch) *Medicine administration or reminding to take and ensuring she has *Cleaning kitchen and bathroom as needed *Laundry as needed *Making her bed or changing bedding as needed *Encouraging daily exercise (i. e. walking up or down the block, going on porch to sunbathe) About the care needs: Caregiver is supported by family members who monitor the home daily. Mom is strong-willed, thus candidates with upbeat personalities who don't easily take offense would be a great fit. She is also talkative often about quite sensitive or polarizing subjects. Thus, someone who can balance offering a listening ear while maintaining decorum and completing necessary tasks is key. We are looking for a caregiver(s) who is/are interested in playing a long-term role on our mothers healthcare team. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are only available for a few weeks or months. Ideal candidates would be available for 4-6 hour shifts on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Shift hours flexible, however 10am-2 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. are most useful as are late afternoon to early evening. Split shifts can also be considered. Masks are required during service but no other PPE. REQUIREMENTS: *MUST speak clear, fluent English *MUST have proof of right to work in the United States *MUST be able to pass all background checks and negative TB test *MUST have references and/or verifiable experience and appropriate credentials *MUST have own reliable transportation *MUST be over 21 years of age (preference given to candidates in the mid-range of life as Mom seems to connect best with that age group, however younger candidates encouraged to apply) *MUST be a non-smoker (of ANY substance) *MUST know CPR Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
