Elder Care Job in Dover Centre, Ontario

Are you a patient, positive, and reliable person with a passion for connecting with others? My parents, who live in Dover Centre, Ontario, are looking for occasional assistance, primarily with transportation. However, if the arrangement is a great fit, this could transition into a full-time live-in opportunity. We offer a competitive pay rate of $20 per hour. Currently, I need someone to drive my parents to the library, grocery store, and other outings a couple of times per week. Beyond driving, it’s important that you are engaging and can help keep them mentally stimulated. They are largely self-sufficient—my father uses a walker, but no specialized care is required. This role is more about companionship than caregiving, and we value someone who can bring warmth and conversation into their lives. My parents are from India, so familiarity with Indian culture is a bonus, but not necessary. For example, if you enjoy cooking or sewing, my mother would love to spend time doing that with you. As for my father, he is a retired physicist and polymath who enjoys deep, stimulating conversations.
