Searching for: patient, organized & skilled live-out housekeeper & caregiver. Our dynamic family has shuffling priorities with elder, a preschooler & mum. The successful applicant will be fluent in English, have valid First Aid & CPR certification & a clear criminal record check. You must have an educational background in home support/geriatrics, health care or related field. You may also have education in children’s development, education or child minding, or demonstrated equivalent experience. Mostly, you must demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, emotional intelligence, empathy & caring. A sense of humour, ability to try new things & learn is key. If this is of interest, please submit a covering letter & resume, clearly outlining your interest in the role & how you demonstrate meeting the requirements specified below. Tasks include, but not be limited to: Elder Care · Administering bedside & personal care such as aiding in ambulating, bathing, personal hygiene, dressing & undressing · Performing routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressing, assisting in the administration of medications · Support Elder member with hobbies, such as gardening etc. Child Care · Supervise, discipline & care for children as directed · Oversee/instruct children’s activities & hygeine Home Support · Perform routine housekeeping & home management duties (laundry, vaccuming, mopping, washing dishes & making beds) · Provide care & companionship for family members · Plan & prepare international cuisine meals (includes serving &/or feeding meals as appropriate) · Maintain a safe & healthy home environment · Organize & participate in activities: crafts, reading & outings, events & appointments · Keep records of activities/health information concerning family members · Tend to the emotional well-being of family; support their social & emotional development Canadian Driver’s License: asset
