I love people and that is why I would love to help care for you or your loved one. A huge portion of my experience working with adult care came from my childhood. My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis before I was born so I learned a lot about caring for someone who's physical needs were great. This included making meals, doing laundry, assistance to move from couch or bed to wheelchair, bathing, changing diapers and more. I know that the quality of someone's life depends so much on the people who help care for them. I also had an opportunity to work in a Seniors Care home in Cochrane, Alberta for 3 months. I worked with seniors who suffered from different levels of Dimensia and Altzheimers. This in combination of caring for my grandfather, helping to motivate him to maintain his level of physical fitness as well as reminding and monitoring his diabetes and other medications has given me a love for working with people with disabilities.
