I just want to say, thank you for considering me. I can assure you that I am excellent at caring for other humans, and I would do almost any compassionate care job with the utmost pride. Thank you. First and foremost my mother is brain injured and paralyzed on the left hand side. She basically requires 24 hour care and has for 12 years now. Because of this, I have a ton of experience. I even just recently spent a few months working for my parents as a care giver. She is challenging, and she is my mother, but I love that I have the personality that makes caring for her good for both her and I. I also had an amazing experience working with a 36 year old man who had locked in syndrome. He is emotional, stubborn, challenging, and an absolutely beautiful soul. Working with him taught me a lot more that I can express in a few paragraphs. This man required 24 hour care as well as help in all faucets of his day. He was also super creative, and composes music, so I had the pleasure of helping him compose via a computer that he used Morse code on, helped him communicate properly to others in the recording studio and his daily experience. I am an extremely maternal, caring, compassionate person. People can tell they can trust me and people in need gravitate towards me. I am in a place of discovey right now, I know I want to work in a field of compassionate care that is not specifically medical, that involves therapy dogs. I gravitate towards children and youth being the community I want to work with the most, although social barriers and disabilities are the main theme of this goal.
