I have worked with elderly before, it is a very calm environment, that I enjoy. engaging in conversation is one thing that i find very stimulating for an elderly person of up to date current events so that they know what's going on. I find to be very helthy. Being there for the elderly and not for yourself is the main goid when taking care of an elderly person.
I have worked as a living care giver for two years taking care of an elderly lady. I accompanied her to her appointments, prepare meals, doing light work around the house, engaged in conversation, making sure she took her medication, taking her out for walking exercise, etc.
