Elder Care in Fort Wayne, Indiana

I am a retired teacher with lots of patience and time to give. I have worked with mentally ill veterans through the VA. I have worked with adults with developmental delays. At present, I help a friend who gives care to elderly females. I have a degree in history and have lived many places. Most recently, I lived in Central America where I taught elementary school and English classes to Chinese, Maya and Spanish speaking adults. I attended fifth and sixth grade in a German school because I had picked up the language so quickly! My husband and I were special needs foster parents for twelve years and adopted six children. They are all grown now and are doing exceedingly well. Two years ago my husband had his left leg amputated for the fourth time, so I need to pick up the slack in wages in our household. I really enjoy meeting clients and their families, looking at photo albums and talking about the good old days! I am outgoing and cheerful and a great helper!
