I am passionate about individual development: to allow natural affinities toward particular activities to flourish, as well as the importance of balance: inside time with outside time, aesthetics with athletics, intellectual activity with physical activity. Yoga is one means by which I manage to balance my thinking with my actions. My Grandfather had Lewy body dementia. I spent time with him in Cottonwoods hospital with my Grandmother, who always complained about the quality of care, returning every day to feed and change our Grandpa. He was in the care facility for four years and as awful as it was I am glad it gave respite to my Grandmother. I feel I could work with people with dementia and other terminal disabilities.
