Elder Care in Kingston, Ontario

I am looking to provide loving evening care to your love one. I am available in the evening and occasional weekends to provide Respite care, errand running, etc for your loved ones. I currently run a home daycare and have for 10 years but the business is in trouble and so am I financially for my family. So I must look into a possible change in careers. I will tell you about my background My education - I have a Developmental Service Worker Diploma from 1989 And I took two years of the RN program and then for personal reasons switched to the RPN program and graduated in 1993 I worked at Fairfield Manor West for 9 years as an RPN before staying home to run the daycare and be there for my family. I also worked with Para Med during the 9 years and until 3 years ago at the PSW level. I had my RPN registration until Dec 2013 when I finally gave it up knowing that I would not go back to that position as I would require to much training to safely resume my role as an RPN. I have also worked for Red Cross back in 1992-3 as a homemaker and worked as a Nurses Aid at the old Belcrest Nursing Home in Belleville from for a few years back around 1989. I have current Emergency first aid and CPR but willing to up grade. As you can see I have had a lot of patient care experience working with the Elderly in agency, community and facilities. I am consider getting back into this field again. I love patient care and miss it. I would love to continue to care for my daycare family but feel that door may be closing. So must look to open new doors but it must be something that will be financially the right move. I am looking in to getting a job to supplement my current employment or in place of it. I am willing to work for an agency or private.
