I have over 20 years experience as a nurse. I have done many types of nursing including critical care and geriatrics. I started out as a candy striper at the age of 13, then started working as a nursing assistant at Fairfield nursing home. I received my LPN and went on to get my RN. I love taking care of the elderly. My mother currently resides in a long term care facility, so I know how important good care is for the elderly. I also take my dog up to see my mother and watch her face light up when he is with me. Geriatrics is complicated, but we have come a long way in treating the elderly. They deserve the best care possible as well as love and respect.
