I am a well-rounded, responsible individual. I have good work ethics and I am honest and trustworthy. I have a great deal of empathy, sympathy and compassion for people who are going through difficult times in their lives. I am a good listener and a good conversationalist too and I am a good friend. It\\\'s not just about having a job and earning money. It\\\'s also about making a difference in the lives of people so that their lives are still worth living and that they can continue to have quality and dignified lives. I took care of a couple, one with Alzheimer's Disease, the other with prostate cancer - both have dementia. You have to watch their every move because you don't know what they are up to. I am presently looking after a lady with Parkinson's Disease and who has multiple episodes of freezing (difficulty moving, speech, lots of personal care assistance).She is total care most of the time because she can fall, slip or hurt herself. I also took care of a man suffering from diabetes, who's had 2 strokes and who suffers from difficulty with balance. Compounding his problem is his severe depression because he is finding it hard to accept his limitatons now compared to what he was used to doing. I have to be a good listener and know how to empathize and to do things that would keep him out of is depression.
