I am a person with a keen interest in helping people in need, I have a loving and caring personality and have always been respectful in my approach towards management, fellow staff, and the client that I have supported. My communication skills are strong, as are my work ethics, integrity and values. I am capable to work independently, as well as within a team setting. I\'m organized and is able to balance numerous responsibilities. I have a very positive attitude and is flexible and open minded to adapt when there are changes. I am also efficient in administering medication, helping clients with personal care, and helping the clients to connect with the community and their families. I've worked as a caregiver for over 3 years after my completion of an Introduction to support work certified training. I've worked with seniors to live successfully in residential group home settings, ensuring clients physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs are being met. Duties- Provide life skills training and assistance such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care and personal finance and implement personal service plans. - Assist residents with activities such as eating, hygiene, grooming and toileting, lifts and transfers -Administer medication to residents in accordance with established policy -Transport and assist residents in accessing community events and activities that are of interest to them and connects them to the community -Work with the manager in networking with resident's family -Ensure the upkeep of resident/residents home and yard, including housekeeping and light maintenance -Other duties as assigned (e.g. administrative duties, extra cleaning, etc.)
