Elder Care in Milton, Ontario

I am a mature, calm, friendly person who is caring and empathetic towards seniors. I have over 15 years experience with seniors, both \"hands on\" and in the corporate office of a national provider of seniors\' services. My \"hands on\" experience has included working at a day program for frail seniors living in the community and providing recreational activities to seniors in seniors\' residences. My position at corporate office involved development and review of the company\'s clinical care programs for seniors living in long term care facilities, for example falls prevention, skin and wound care, continence care, dementia care etc. If your parent/loved one requires someone to come into their home, whether it be for simple care or companionship, I am willing and able to provide that care in a responsible and loving way. I would prefer a part-time position; however, I would also be able to provide temporary respite care if you would like a break from providing care or you are going on vacation. I could also accompany your parent/loved one to seniors\' activities in the community or run shopping errands. I have a post graduate degree in gerontology, and was primary caregiver to my elderly parents prior to their passing. My personal interests include aerobics, outdoor activities (hiking, cycling, x-country skiing), reading, cooking, playing the piano and sewing/crafts.
