Description of Skills: As a board certified physiotherapist and a dedicated and passionate caregiver to clients of convalescent homes, elderly clients and children generally, I am an excellent match to the home support worker/caregiver opening posted. From March 2015 to December 2016, I worked as a support worker for Life Model Convalescent and Physiotherapy Clinic, Lagos, Nigeria. Where I assisted clients with stroke, Parkinsons disease, amputations, dementia and Alzheimers disease with their activities of daily living. I worked as part of a team of a Resident doctor and a Nurse to help implement and support clients care plans which includes providing services to aid in memory care, physical care, ambulation and psycho emotional care. My physical therapy knowledge and skills were also deployed in the clients care management and it helped to optimize clients quality of life. Subsequently, I have been working at Lagos University Teaching Hospital till date as a physiotherapist where I specialized majorly in geriatric and paediatric patients with different ailments and disabilities. Deeply committed to treating my paediatric clients with love and the elderly clients with dignity and respect, my goal is to win their trust and alleviate any embarrassment or anxiety they may feel when needing assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming or all other personal care. I also excel at driving, companionship and planning creative activities customized to meet clients needs and physical/mental abilities.
