Elder Care in Kitchener, Ontario

My name is Samara, I'm Brazilian and currently I need sponsorship to work in Canada. In Brazil, I work as a Practical Nurse for what we call here as “Family Health Strategy” for almost four year at municipal health post. This includes assisting patients, checking vital signs, first aid’s, medicine administration, specimen collect, medical travel accompaniment and other things related to my duties. Despite knowing that these next details don't count as professional experience, in 2013 my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer. Since I was responsible for her care in most of the time, I realized that I should have more abilities to handle her needs, so I took another two years certified Elderly Caregiver course. This experience allowed me to closely monitor the needs of elderly people with memory difficulties. Joining the knowledge acquired through study, work and family background, I believe I have a great capacity to work in the following positions: bathing, feeding, walking, supermarket, medication, accompaniment, travel, housekeeping, among other aspects that we can talk about.
