Links2Care is a non-profit, charitable, community support organization offering a better quality of life through caring support to people of all ages in MISSISSAUGA and HALTON. Links2Care Home Support Workers (HSWs) will provide regular household cleaning and other assistance to seniors and persons with disabilities, traveling to clients’ homes to provide the service. This is a part-time, permanent position with flexible hours between 8am and 8pm, Monday-Friday, and 8am-6pm Saturday-Sunday. We are presently seeking people in Mississauga, Oakville, Milton and Burlington, Ontario. The starting wage for this position is $14.70/hour paid mileage between clients. Requirements: reliable transportation, driver's license and insurance, valid criminal check and vulnerable sector screen. Duties: 1. Performs general household duties according to clients’ needs and scheduled work plan (tasks) which may include, but is not limited to:  Thorough cleaning of kitchen and bathroom(s)  Spot cleaning of refrigerator (top and front) and occasional cleaning of inside of refrigerator  Cleaning of stove (top and front) and occasional cleaning of oven  Washing and mopping floors  Thorough vacuuming of carpets and furniture  Dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning mirrors  Bed making  Laundry  Grocery shopping 2. Effectively communicates with clients to understand the client’s preferences. 3. Reports to their Supervisor on a regular basis, including any concerns regarding the health or safety of clients. 4. Maintains client information based on program needs and employer requirements in accordance to the Links2Care confidentiality and privacy policies, PHIPA and PIPEDA legislation. 5. Follows guidelines and procedures for dealing with incidents. 6. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment in accordance to the Links2Care Health and Safety policies and procedures. 7. May attend in-service learning, training and development opportunities as required.
