Elder Care Job in Albany, New York

Home Health Aides (HHA): These are NYS certified positions providing clients with services and support in areas such as personal hygiene, grooming, transfers and range-of-motion exercises. HHAs may prepare special modified diets, take vital signs, and change non-sterile dressings. They are required to follow the patient’s plan of care, maintain simple records, report any problems, and discuss observations with a nursing supervisor. Other duties may include light housekeeping chores, laundry, grocery shopping, and small errands. Cases range from an hour or two to sometimes longer, so travel between cases is necessary. We compensate you for your travel time PLUS mileage. Requirements for a position within our Home Care Agency are; Your OWN vehicle Valid Driver’s License Ability to pass a background check HHA or PCA certificate (if we do not have scheduled class available) Or Documentation for Equivalency as a PCA- Experience (that can be verified and must include bathing and toileting) providing hands on care in a healthcare facility or in a home care setting (or) a current Certified Nurses Aide certificate We offer great benefits including Paid holidays, Generous Paid time off, Health Insurance and our very own on site fitness center!
